To be up front - I am not a professional programmer or designer. I am a career firefighter. Like many career firefighters, I have a sideline and this is it.

After a lifelong interest in taking quality photographs, I stumbled into web site design in an effort to display my prints on this 'new thing' called the internet. I purchased my first computer in 2000 with my tax return and bought a copy of a basic web editor; I've been hooked ever since.

After reading and experimenting with any web design materials I could get my hands on I became proficient in HTML, CSS, Photoshop and Illustrator. Then I went to work for a Kingston based software and web company serving, primarily, the funeral industry where I implemented almost 400 sites into a proprietary content management system. Additionally, I processed approximatley 1000 product images into as many as 5 layers each to be displayed in an online catalogue of funeral products.

Most currently I have begun using the Drupal content management system to create sites.
